You touched me. Did I touch you?
It wasn't much, but it was brand new.
Wonder about, going in, going out
The voices whisper, without shout.
A friendly face, a smile warm
peace comes in unfamiliar form.
Feelings stir, excitement so real
for the time, it is all I can feel.
The open door, the warm embrace
the stranger gone without a trace.
Seeing many, knowing few
staying alive for the moment new.
Impressions left, and lonely again
Why does the beginning lead to the end?
In sweet memory, my thoughts stay,
hopes for the stranger to come my way,
wanting his touch, him wanting mine too.
Without asking much, just remaining true.
